Hey there

I'm so glad you're here! Without you, I could not do what I love, helping people improve their relationships. But there is another important person in the therapy room, me. I believe that collaboration is essential in our therapy sessions, and the connection we build will play a vital role in our success. I look forward to sharing more about myself and creating a supportive environment for our work together.

 About Me...

In my view, therapy is an interactive process, which means I am not just there to nod and say "How did that make you feel?" In therapy sessions, I am an active participant. l bring my honesty and genuineness into the room, as well as my education and experience. I do my best to show up and be fully present in each session and I hope you bring openness and a desire to do the work. Each experience in the therapy room is unique, so I approach each session with curiosity and creativity, meeting you where you're at that day. Creating a safe space in which to do this work is one of my top priorities, and I strive to create this space physically, in my office, and emotionally, through our relationship. Making changes in our lives and relationships can feel scary, and often this fear comes from feeling alone in the process. I am here to be with you throughout this journey, to understand, empathize, guide, and encourage.

Education...

I've always had a fascination with people and why they do what they do. This interest lead me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara. After continuing to be intrigued with people, years later, I furthered my education and received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Massachusetts, Global. Since starting this adventure called therapy, I have become intrigued by our relational systems- from our family systems to our own internal systems. My approach to therapy centers around improving these systems. When working with couples and families, I utilize Attachment Theory, Imago Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. When working with individuals, I utilize Internal Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
